Montreal’s Lea Longo is a world music artist who likes writing and singing music that makes her just feel “cool, meditative, relaxed and easy to listen to.” Her new world album entitled: Peace Chants is just that, an album of chants sung in sanskrit and gurmuki language that will make you feel good.
After her voyage to India that Lea decided to change musical paths as she started kirtan “chanting” Kirtan known as : the chanting of sacred names where the audience is participatory and the singer leads the chants in a call and response experience leading everyone to bliss… sounds like fun?
It is to Lea, who travels to US and Canada, chanting in various yoga studios and halls, but it is her songwriting that captures the attention of Hollywood peeps. With previous song credits under her name, like having one of her songs featured in the Premiere of Dawson’s Creek, North Shore, Party Of Five, Summerland and the movie “Cheaper by the Dozen”. Montreal songstress, Lea Longo is happy to announce another movie song placement with her song “Someone like me” under her belt.
LEMONADE MOUTH is to be released on April 15 on the DISNEY CHANNEL . Lemonade Mouth is based on the book by Mark Peter Hughes. The film tells the story of five high school teens who meet in detention and form a band. http://lemonademouth.org/
